Excalibur Academy Trust

A message from the VICE CHAIR

Susan Clarke

Susan Clarke

Thank you for your interest in this exciting opportunity with Excalibur Academies Trust.

Excalibur Academies Trust was founded in 2012; we are a multi academy trust that prides itself on a special blend of independence and collaboration which is demonstrated in everything that we do.  Our academies and partner schools are exceptional - delivering an education which ensures every student achieves and enjoys success.

All of our academies are now at least good, some having made the journey from inadequate. A common theme of recent Ofsted reports reflects high standards of governance, clarity of vision and strong leadership at all levels.

The CEO is responsible directly to the Board. The successful individual will combine the ability to manage support services and ensure compliance with the expertise to inspect performance against Ofsted standards.

Our vision is to create an environment in which Excalibur students will be resilient learners, have a global perspective in all that they learn and go on to change the world for the better. The curriculum is at the heart of our thinking with exceptional teaching inspiring exceptional learning. Our ambition is to create independent learners who strive for far more than good exam outcomes and positive progress measures.

The Trust now seeks to appoint a CEO of outstanding quality, to succeed Dr Patrick Hazlewood, who having very successfully and skilfully led the Trust through its early stages of growth will retire in the summer of 2018.

I wish you well with your application.
